Blog followers:
For various reasons I have decided to take a technology time out. As you know, I have been posting on this blog for several years. Although I enjoy sharing my photos and adventures, as well as other scientific information, it is time that I take a break. I will resume my usual posting schedule in early April.
In the mean time, here are a few of my favorite photos from this winter.
This blog displays scenic photos taken from around Grand Marais, MI. Photos of rockhounding and nature adventures are also posted. Information is included about the Gitche Gumee Agate and History Museum and other scientific subjects. For more information about the museum and our unique mineral art, books, DVDs, and Online rockhounding classes please go to www.agatelady.com.

Sunny Winter Scenes
Jamey and Lois Fite and I went on a snowshoe with me the other day. We started at the Sable Visitor's center, walked along the creek, and then crossed the ice and headed into the dunes.
There are lots of animal prints in the snow. I think all the critters are glad that it is not quite as cold outside.

I had to capture their dog, Bear, playing in the snow.

Tahquamenon Falls -- Post 2
Today I will post the remaining pictures I took at Tahquamenon Falls the other day.
Along the path above the Upper Falls, there is this tree stump labelled back to when the tree was planted.
The snow depth is illustrated by the bench below.
Top of the steps going down to the falls...
The brink....
The park employees put on a lantern lit snowshoe and ski.
