Yesterday after closing the museum I taught an agate class to a couple of women. Then I joined friends, Jamey and Lois, on a beach east of town. It was a beautiful evening.

Trip to Lewiston
After getting the museum ready for opening, I spent a couple of days in Lewiston, MI to celebrate my grandson's birthday. It was nice to have a couple of days off before the season starts. The weather cooperated much more than we expected. A great time was had by all.

Beach Hike and More
Yesterday I went on a drive and a beach walk with friends, Jamey and Lois Fite. Before our excursion, we had a tremendous meal with grouse, Menominee, potatoes with red peppers, and green beans with toasted nuts. I'm not sure if I have ever had grouse before, but it was awesome.
Approaching the beach...
Lots of driftwood...
...and rocks....

Fruit trees are finally in bloom....

School Play: Alice
Yesterday the students of Burt Township school performed their annual school play. The costumes were amazing, props and scenery were fabulous, and performances great. A terrific job was done by all -- especially when you consider that there are only 28 kids in the whole school and only half of that number in high school who were members of the cast.
