This year I set my museum hours to allow me to do things during the day on Tuesdays. The hours on Tuesdays are 6-8 in the evening. So far, all the Tuesdays this summer have involved car and doctor appointments. Yesterday was the first Tuesday that I golfed with the Grand Marais group. Although I have been golfing for a few decades, most years I only golf a few times. Thus, I have never been able to develop my skills. THIS YEAR I am determined to have a round under 100 strokes. I wasn't even close yesterday, but I did have some good shots. Hopefully, I will be able to improve with practice. Thanks to the Grand Marais golfers for putting up with my learning curve.

I love the open greenery of golf courses....
We had seven golfers from Grand Marais yesterday.
The Newberry Country Club has a new club house and restaurant.
When we dropped off one of our golfers, I just had to take pictures of this beautiful rose bush.

Sable Falls Erosion
Yesterday during my exercise routine at Sable Falls (going up and down the steps), I documented the erosion damage caused by the five inches of rain we received a week ago.

Dune Hike
Last night I did a solo hike in the dunes. It was a gorgeous evening after the previous day of rain. Because of all the rain we have had this past month or so, the vegetation in the dunes is more lush than I think I have ever seen.

Massive Rain with erosion and flooding in Grand Marais, MI
I am not sure how much rain we had in Grand Marais yesterday, but it had to be multiple inches. After I closed the museum, I drove around and captured photos of some of the flooding, sink-holes, wash-outs, and other erosion.
The intersection of Newberg Road and M77 has a sink hole....
William Hill Road where it intersects with H58 suffered a lot of wash outs ....
Carpenter Creek was raging....
Another sink hole....
Several of the sea planes that were in Grand Marais for the Splash-in were unable to leave.
The driveway of Sunset Cabins was washed out...
