Yet another dunes hike -- but from a different angle

For the third Sunday in a row I went hiking with friend, Wendy. I really miss not hiking on a daily basis, but time does not permit it right now.

As we drove to the log slide for our planned hike, we noticed these fishermen in Sable Lake. I just had to stop and snap a photo.



We didn't leave for our hike until after I left the museum at 5:00 pm. It was still a beautiful sunny day. The Grand Sable Banks were almost glowing in the late afternoon sun.



We decided to hike from the log slide and skirt the south side of the dunes. We discovered many unique little areas and also enjoyed seeing the dunes and Au Sable Point from a different angle.
