Forest, Dunes, and Beach -- Post 2

Today I will post the rest of the photos taken on the hike the other night. I did go for a short walk last night, but did not take my camera.

The pine trees have been busy this spring...

I was a little alarmed when I saw this "help me" note written in the sand.  But in the same area there were other humorous things written in the sand.  So I think it was someone making a statement about having to climb to the top of the dune (next picture).

More pine tree spring growth...

This tree has to keep growing new roots as the sand erodes....
