Incredible Rock Collection

While visiting friends, Larry and Marcy, I took a few minutes to walk around their house to take photos of a few of their rock cases and specimens. Not only is their barn house one of my favorite houses that I've ever been in, but their collection rivals that of most mineral museums. I would have to dedicate several days worth of blog updates to include all of their specimens. Instead I walked around their house and captured a few images. Thanks again to Larry and Marcy for sharing their home, hospitality, and wonderful collection.

More rocks in a bay window box -- mostly Lakers......

Larry and Marcy were walking along a road in the Keweenaw Peninsula several years ago.  Marcy noticed a little green color popping out of the newly graded road.  When they started digging, they found a huge piece of float copper that weighs more than 100 pounds.  Sitting on top are other smaller pieces of copper they have also found.
