Hike in the west-central section of the Grand Sable Dunes

Yesterday to be safe on the last day of rifle deer hunting season, we hiked the west-central section of the Grand Sable Dunes.  We accessed the dunes from the Masse Homestead Trail.  This is a rugged area with lots of up and down.

Downed wood..... there is lots of it in the forest these days due to all the beach trees that are succumbing to disease.
