Rocks, Flowers, Waterfalls, and Bears

Today I have an assortment of photos.  First, here is a picture of a rock found by one of the museum visitors.  Smile....


As some of you know, a new water system is being installed in Grand Marais.  Last year they did the street on which the museum is located.  As you can see below, every time it rains the street floods.  Similar problems exist all over town.  Supposedly the contractor is supposed to return the streets to as good or better than they were before.  It remains to be seen if this will happen.




Yesterday I did a short solo hike at Sable Falls and took a few photos...










Gerald and Jill came over for dinner.  After that, we went morel hunting south of town.  On the way I decided to check out the new bridge over the Sucker River over by Grand Marais Airport...



Then on the way back to town there were three yearling bear cubs in the middle of the road.
