Yesterday friend, Lois, and I went on a snowshoe in the Sable Lake area. We parked at the end of the plowed road that goes to the boat ramp, walked down the road to the boat ramp, skirted the edge of Sable Lake back to the foot bridge located southeast of the lake, jumped along the ski trail for a short distance, cut back over to the road to the car.
Heading toward the boat ramp...
Ice formations in the creek along the road...
Mushroom cap....
Looking across Sable Lake toward the Grand Sable Dunes.
On the edge of Sable Lake...
This foot bridge is very narrow -- not as wide as the snow that is cantilevered on both sides. The crossing was a bit scary.
