I checked with the NOAA website to see the current coverage of ice on Lake Superior. As of today around 11 percent of the lake is covered in ice.
The photo below is a satellite image taken yesterday showing the lake effect clouds.
During the afternoon the lake effect bands diminished, the sun came out, and Lois and I headed to the School Forest east of town to ski.
Yes, Lois skies, too.
The Sucker River is flowing somewhere down there under the bridge in the School Forest.
