Total Snow Fall Last Week

You know it is winter when in the last week or so we received over 30 inches of snow!  Notice on the map below that Grand Marais is located in one of the major lake effect band areas.

I took the following photo this morning.  The snow has not piled as high as it has been in the past, but the level is still building.

I am probably going to have to roof rake.  I am always concerned when the large snow masses start "curling" down that they will break windows.
