Actually, I forgot to post a few photos from day 1....
In the photo below the white rock contains fossilized ripples.
More photos from the first night's sunsets.
Shale....
One of the ten wild flowers we saw...
One of two beaver dams we saw...
Ice/snow damaged trees....
Helen and some large trees....
After hiking around half the trail to Trap Falls, we arrived at the river.
There was considerable white water and lots of mini falls.
More broken trees....
Then we arrived at Trap Falls. Originally we wanted to continue the trail to the South Boundary Road. However, we were told by the woman working at the park's administration office that the remainder of the trail had not yet been cleared and that it was not open due to a massive number of downed trees.
We headed back to our car.
Big tree....
Then we drove back to our Yurt campsite.
After dinner Helen and I went down the bluff to catch another sunset. With all the broken pieces of shale, it is difficult to walk down the bluff and on the beach.
Sunset....
A close up of the fossilized ripples....
Full moon...
