Camping in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

Friends Marsha and Denise are up on their almost annual trip to 12 Mile Beach in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. I decided to car camp with them the other night, plus last night I headed out to make dinner for them.

Those of you who have been to 12 Mile Beach know that it has one of the largest stands of White Birch anywhere.  The trees are fully leafed out now.  Spring seems to have sprung pretty fast this year.

The sunsets on the south shore of Lake Superior are the best.
