This weekend is the annual splash in event in Grand Marais. The weekend features more than a dozen float planes that land in the Grand Marais harbor. Yesterday some of the planes competed in various competitions such as trying to drop an object closest to a target. I would include more information, but I have never been able to attend the event. I believe it is the 14th year for the splash in, and I have been operating the museum now for 16 years. Here are some pictures I took on Friday.
Interesting that some of the planes "park" frontwards on the beach.
