Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Cross Country Ski Trails

It has been a while since I skied the trails in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore so I decided to head over there yesterday. In some places the track was OK, while in other areas there was so much sand mixed in with the snow that it was not fun to ski. The latter trail is the one right next to Sable Falls. Until we get some significant snow I am going to stay away from that section of the trails.  It was still great to be skiing in an actual track, rather than on the bumpy snowmobile tracks in the school forest.

It is hard to see but I snapped this picture of some small animal tracks -- either mouse or vole.
