Sucker River Snowshoe

To change things up in regards to our exercise routine, yesterday Lois and I decided to snowshoe somewhere different.  We trekked along the Sucker River east of town near the county line.  We thought that we might see some open water, which makes for good photos, but other than one open hole there was snow, snow, and more snow.

There is a river down there somewhere....

The one five foot long open water hole....

The beaver were a little ambitious.  This tree is around 10 inches in diameter and around 70 feet tall.  The upper branches got caught in other trees.
