Although it was WAY too hot, we still had a blast celebrating the July 4th holiday. Thanks to my son and his family for a great time!
My grandson, Keenen, rode on the fire truck for the parade!
Although I tried to talk him out of it, Jonathan continued the tradition begun by the museum founder and wore the 1800s bear coat in the parade. The temperatures were in the mid-80s -- way too hot for me to wear the coat.
I think we had more people than usual in Grand Marais on the 4th. The picture below shows some of the people lined up to watch the parade.

Beach Hike
The other day my son and his family went with me on a beach hike. We walked from Sable Falls into town. It was great except for the black flies.
