Another School Forest Cross Country Ski Outing

Yesterday temperatures were in the mid-20s with mild winds so we headed to the school forest to cross country ski. First, we tried to ski the national park trails, but they had not yet groomed the foot of snow we have received since they groomed the trails last week.

From the new parking lot, we skied south across the bridge and headed west on the State Trail. We also skied part of the Butler Trail.

When we arrived at a fork in the trail, we were checking one of the new trail maps to decide which way we wanted to go.

As we arrived back at the bridge, I took the photo below of the mostly frozen Sucker RIver.
