Mason Show and other photos

The day before I left to drive down state to the Mason Show, we had our first snow of the year. It didn't stick on the ground, but it was still a sign of what is soon to come.

A few days before I left, I snapped this shot of the afterglow from a fall sunset. Sometimes the sky just explodes with color during the fall.

The Mason Gem and Mineral Show took place the weekend of October 23rd. This is a long weekend, but well worth it since the club keeps the number of dealers down. I am grateful to the club to be allowed to be one of the dealers.

As is typical with these shows, there is a lot to see and do. In addition to the dealers, there are demonstration booths, displays, a silent auction, kid's area, and more. Below is one of the displays of agates, put together by Robert from Stockbridge.

One of the most impressive displays is a black light fluorescent rock display. Below are photos with the white light and black light.

The club also had some displays with Michigan minerals.

The court house in down town Mason is quite impressive.
