Lake Superior Beach Walk -- Post 2

Today I will post the second half of the photos from the beach walk I took the other night with friends, Jamey and Lois.

The farther we walked down the beach, -- the wider the beach, the more the rock, and the more the driftwood....

A man and his dog....

To get our heart rates up, we climbed up and down the dune a few times.  On one climb we spotted these cool little flowers.

It was a nice sunset....

Wintergreen...

Big foot evidence?

Lois liked this driftwood log and wanted it for their garden.  Jamey carried this heavy log a long way.

On the drive back to town we saw several snowshoe hare.  I didn't get a great shot since the mosquitoes were attacking me as I held the camera out the window to try to take a few pictures.  The rabbit's eyes were red, most likely due to the car's head lights.

  1. The cool little flowers are known as, appropriately enough, Twinflower, Linnaea borealis. Good eyes to spot these!
