Incredible Sunset Beach Ski

Yesterday my friend, Helen, from Marquette came to visit and go on adventures.  Last night we started with a sunset beach ski.  Temperatures were in the 40s and the snow was deep in spots from the storm the previous day, but all in all it was a tremendous ski.  And it was beautiful.

We parked at the boardwalk on Agate Beach and skied west to the tee pee.  Thankfully someone else had snowshoed and packed down a trail to make it easier to ski.

The wind from the storm the previous day blew all the ice on Lake Superior back our way.  It also piled it up to double the size of the icebergs.  With my zoom I took a few pictures of the lighthouse sticking up above the ice.

With my camera zoom I also took the photo below of Au Sable Point lighthouse.

Finally we approached the tee pee.  We still don't know who starting building the structure out of driftwood, but thankfully no one has torched it over this past few years.
