Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Chapel Hike -- Post 4

Finally I'll include the last photos from the PRNL hike last week.  We were going to take the Chapel Falls trail, but instead decided to hike the bluff trail located on the west side of Chapel Lake.  We headed south down the trail.

The trail goes through the woods and pops out on the bluff overlooking Chapel Lake.

The trail then continues through the forest to the Chapel parking area.

We arrived back at 12 Mile Beach in time for sunset.

This shot is a close up of the sun's reflection at the high water mark where the waves were calmer, but still coming a shore.

We had to cook dinner by flashlight.  Of course, we were making 12 Mile Chops, the recipe that we developed and Marsha submitted to the REI contest and won.  She is cooking on the stove that she won in the contest.  The recipe was posted to the blog a month or so ago.

Then it was time to relax....

And watch the full moon come up.....
