North Country Trail Hike in the School Forest -- Part 2

Today I'll post the second half of the pictures I took during the hike in the School forest a couple of days ago.

All the pictures below were taken after I reached the shore after walking the three mile trail.  Although there were 8-10 foot waves, it was not windy on the bluff.

Notice the snow squall out over the lake in the center of the picture.

There was a lone log out in the surf zone.  Below are a couple of close ups of the ice on the log, and then more pictures as I pulled back on the zoom.

I was wondering what the flat sandy like things were on the beach.  They are iceberg embryos.  It won't be long before the shore is completely iced in.
