Sedona -- Post 3

Today I'll post the rest of the photos from the Devil's Bridge hike, as well as the photos from the second hike that day to Boynton Canyon.

First: a few from the Devil's Bridge hike that I didn't include yesterday.

As we walked back to the car, we spotted the Lizard Head formation.  On a later hike, we saw the formation from the other side.

A couple of photos of the trail.  In many cases we walked down dry creek beds.  In other spots the trail was very rocky.

Next are the photos from the Boynton Canyon hike.

We ran into this guy named Johnny, who offered to guide us down the trail.  We had only panned on visiting the vortex at the start of the trail, and instead hiked around another five miles.

On the cliffs along the trail, there were several Native American ruins.

Johnny spotted a couple of guys hiking up on the cliff above some of the ruins.  He said that the layer they were walking on was not all that safe.

We ran out of time to make the end of the canyon, but did hike down into a wash where there were bigger than normal trees.

On the way back to our room, we spotted the full moon.
