Rockhound's Rocks

When ever I visit a fellow rockhound's house, I enjoy taking pictures of some of their specimens.  This morning I spent time doing just that.

Condors from Argentina....

Big Laker from Iowa (2 pounds 10 ounces)

When Sharon built the agate panels around her fire place (photo I posted the other day), she cut the ends off the agate nodules and polished them.  Below is one of the middle left over pieces.  It is cool that the agate structure on opposite ends is completely different.

Some more cool agates...

One of their cases...

Smaller but beautiful agates....

Cabs...

Petrified wood....

Mexican agates...

Another rockhound..

Ocean jasper...
