A few days ago friends, Jamey and Lois, had me over for dinner followed by a beach walk. It was an amazingly calm evening, which doesn't seem to happen much any more.
We headed over to First Creek and walked west to the teepee. During the walk, we certainly enjoyed a fantastic sunset. Even though the sun is setting behind Au Sable Point, relative to the beach in town, we still enjoyed the colorful sky.
There is less water in First Creek than there was a couple of weeks ago.
Insects in October? No -- Jamey was collecting and throwing up the maple seeds that have accumulated on the beach.
Driftwood sculpture....
Jamey ran up the dune to see where the trail went.
Bear and Nora enjoyed the beach, too.
