While in Minnesota over the weekend I was able to go agate picking for just a couple of hours. My friend, Sharon Smith, and I hit a farm field owned by one of her friends. We at first checked several fields, but they had not yet been plowed. Even the one plowed field was tough to hunt since there has not been enough rain to wash off the dirty rocks.

I did fine one nice 6.4 ounce agate. Part of the limonite coating caught my attention.
