First Cross Country Ski of the Winter

Wendy had to go to Seney to purchase a new car battery, so I suggested that we both go and cross country ski the Seney National Wildlife Refuge. They have not tracked the trail yet, but they ran their snowmobile down the trails so it was definitely skiable. All of the blizzard conditions sometimes causes snow to stick and accumulate on top of stumps and in branches. It was beautiful.

This swing will take a bit of work if you want to clear the snow to sit down.

One of the best parts of the afternoon is that the sun was out. We have not seen the sun much lately in Grand Marais due to lake effect.

After a two-hour ski, we headed to Curtis and had dinner at Chamberlins.
