Agate photos

The music festival is over and most of my relatives have or are in the process of packing to leave. It has been a hectic weekend so I have not had a chance to get out to get some nature photos. So the blog posting today includes a few pictures of agates.

I didn't get her name, but a girl came in the museum with this beautiful candy striped agate that has a bullet fortification pattern on both ends.

Dipping into my files for a couple more photos, here are a couple of shots taken by the photographer for my agate book, Tom Shearer.  I'm not positive but I think the first is a Laker and the second an Argentina agate.

  1. You are correct Karen. First is a Laker the second a Black River from Argentina.
